Founded in 1958 as a general practice law firm, Uscher, Quiat, Uscher & Russo, P.C. began to concentrate its practice on complex insurance claims in the 1980s.  Led by Michael E. Quiat, UQU&R began handling more and more private disability income, ERISA and other health claims, always on the side of the policyholder, never representing the insurance company.

 

UQU&R provides client-focused representation to people whose claims are denied by insurers. These corporate Goliaths have developed the habit of denying a claim first and asking questions afterwards, but only if the claim is being pursued.  If the claim is dropped, insurance companies never give it another thought.
